4 big minus points of All Of Us Are Dead: Unnecessary characters and regrettable deaths

Here are some problems with Netflix’s zombie hit All Of Us Are Dead.

As one of the most well-received Korean productions about zombies in recent years, All Of Us Are Dead has continued to achieve amazing records. Even so, there are still some problems with the drama’s plot, making the story draggy, confusing and less engaging.

1. The unconvincing death of Na Yeon

One of the most controversial details of All Of Us Are Dead is the death of mean character Na Yeon (Lee Yoo Mi). Because, before the official release, the production crew confirmed that Na Yeon would play a prominent role – one of the aces of the series. However, just when the viewers are about to see her character redemption, Na Yeon suddenly dies tragically in the hands of villain Gwi Nam.

2. The missed opportunity for Eun Ji – Gwi Nam to confront

Eun Ji, after becoming a half zombie, was expected to seek revenge on Gwi Nam (Yoo In Soo). However, after being granted the power to be immortal, she mostly does useless stuff. The confrontation between a victim of school violence and her bully would have been a compelling scene and was absolutely necessary. Unfortunately, it was not included in the series.

3. The male lead carries the team the whole series just to die regretfully

Similar to Na Yeon, the male lead Cheong San (Yoon Chan Young) also sacrifices himself to protect his lover. Previously, throughout 11 episodes, Cheong San constantly pushed himself into danger because of his friends. Therefore, his death has made many people regretful.

4. A bunch of redundant characters

The cumbersome, rambling script with too many characters is definitely the most negative point of All Of Us Are Dead. In the first six episodes, the scriptwriter made the audience almost have a headache with too many character lines. From the focus on On Jo‘s group of friends (Park Ji Hoo) to the archery team, the story gradually expands the character line to the inspector, the pregnant female student, teacher Lee Byung Chan, Cheong San‘s mother, etc. However, there would be nothing to criticize if they were built with a more obvious role rather than the bland scenes, their deaths are even extremely wasteful.
