“First handwritten letter since debut…” A first-generation idol member suddenly announces his marriage today (Feb 10)

The news of the marriage of a first-generation idol member drew attention. He is Lee Sung-jin from boy group NRG.

Lee Sung-jin announced his marriage on February 10th by posting a handwritten letter on his Instagram.

He wrote, “I’m writing a handwritten letter for the first time since my debut to inform Cheonjae Ilwoo (NRG’s fan club) before anyone else. I’ll get married!!”

He continued, “I decided to marry her because she took care of my shortcomings and cared for me more than anyone else. There may be people who like it and people who don’t like it, but I thought it’s right to let you know first before it becomes known through articles.”

Then he added, “I thought that all of you who have always supported me are also my family, and this will never change in the future.”

Lastly, Lee Sung-jin finished the letter by saying, “I would like to inform you first since I want to get married with your blessings more than anyone else. Please think generously and wish me happiness. Thank you for reading.”

Earlier in November last year, Lee Sung-jin appeared on tvN, tvN Story’s “Free Doctor M” and revealed the existence of his girlfriend. At the time, he confessed, “I’m always knocking on the door of marriage. I have a girlfriend whom I have been dating for three years.”

Lee Sung-jin, who originally debuted as a duet with Chun Myung-hoon under the name of HamoHamo in 1996, appeared in the music industry as NRG‘s leader the following year and gained great popularity.
