EXO’s D.O. tops Circle’s retail album chart and download chart with new album “Expectation”

D.O. achieved a double crown on the Circle Weekly Chart (September 17th~23rd) announced on September 28th. He claimed the top spot on the retail album chart with his second mini-album “Expectation” and the download chart with the title track “Somebody”.

Major foreign media outlets also spotlighted his latest album. The renowned UK music magazine NME published a review article on D.O.’s second mini-album “Expectation” through its official website on September 25th (local time). They praised, “In an era where streaming parties and charting positions dominate music discourse, ‘Expectation’ felt bold and refreshing.” They also analyzed the title track “Somebody” and all the songs on the album in detail.

Previously, American music media outlet GRAMMY.com described this album as exceeding expectations, stating that it showcases D.O.’s artistic side and highlights his greatest strength: bending any melody to his will with an evocative tessitura with exceedingly emotional effect.

Meanwhile, D.O.’s second mini-album “Expectation” includes a total of 7 diverse emotional tracks. It topped the iTunes Top Albums chart in 42 regions, the Worldwide iTunes Albums chart, China’s QQ Music and KuGou Music digital album sales charts, as well as Japan’s RecoChoku daily album ranking.
