Idol-actress Suzy’s real estate holdings are estimated to be worth about 13.8 billion won, rising by 1 billion won every year
According to a video published by tvN’s YouTube channel “Diggle” on April 17th, Suzy purchased a small building in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, in 2016, at the age of 23, under her own name for 3.7 billion Korean won (2.8 million USD). It was reported that 1.7 billion won from that amount was borrowed and 2 billion won was paid in cash.
A small building here refers to a medium-sized building with a total floor area of about 3000 meter square or less, or seven floors or fewer. The standard transaction price is 5 billion Korean won or less.
However, Suzy’s small building is not so small in terms of numbers. Suzy currently earns 15 million won (around 11,300 USD) a month in rental income from the building, and the building is now valued at around 8 billion won (6 million USD).
Furthermore, with Hyundai Motor’s Global Business Center construction and Jamsil Stadium remodeling, it is expected that the value of Suzy’s building will continue to rise.
Meanwhile, Suzy is living in a luxury villa in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, which she purchased under her own name in 2017, following her acquisition of the small building. Suzy’s unit is 277 meter square in size, with four rooms, three bathrooms, and one dressing room.
Suzy bought the villa for 3.09 billion won (around 2.3 million USD), and its current market value is estimated to be around 5.8 billion KRW (around 4.3 million USD).
It is also known that Suzy is neighbors with singer-turned-actress Seo Ji Young and broadcaster Lee Hye Young.
Simple calculations reveal that Suzy’s estimated profit from real estate investment in seven years amounts to 7 billion won (5.3 million USD) and the total value of her real estate has increased by 1 billion won each year.
