Red Velvet Yeri reportedly plays a lead role in a KBS drama about people with disabilities 

Red Velvet member Yeri appears in a youth drama centering around disabled people to improve people’s awareness of disabilities.

On April 17th, SM Entertainment announced that Yeri had been cast for a lead role in the youth drama “Galchae” (literal title) about understanding disabled people.

“Galchae” is a special drama planned and produced by KBS to mark the Day of People uiwth Disability. Yeri will play puppy walker volunteer Eun Seo who builds a strong friendship with the guide dog Galchae through various struggles.

Actor Yeo Hoe Hyun will be Yeri’s co-star. He plays Taeyang, a student who becomes visually impaired due to an accident. 

This short drama tells the story of Taeyang meeting Galchae, recovering his daily life, and pursuing his dreams.

In addition, the production team also prepared a special event for students. On the 17th, a preview screening was held at Seoul Shinseo Middle School. Yeri participated in the event and spent time communicating with the students.

Meanwhile, “Galchae” will be released at 2:10 p.m. on the 18th. It can also be viewed on the Youtube channel of Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance.
