EXO’s “Cream Soda” showcases the group’s peak maturity 

A top male idol group, EXO, has returned in full force with the new album “EXIST” and title song “Cream Soda”, exuding maturity.

On July 10th at 6 p.m. (KST), EXO released their 7th full-length album “EXIST” on major online music platforms and unveiled the MV for their title track “Cream Soda”.

With this album, EXO broke their personal record by surpassing a total pre-order of 1.6 million copies (as of July 9th), re-establishing their position as a top-tier 3rd gen group and achieving million-seller status.

“Cream Soda” is an addictive pop dance song with an exotic rhythm, lively brass, keyboard, and drum sounds. The lyrics depict the thrilling and sweet moment of falling in love, likening it to a smooth and electrifying “Cream Soda”, while sensual vocals of EXO made their unique presence.  Meanwhile, the “Cream Soda” MV features vibrant colors in the background, with the members enjoying a glamorous private party, as well as delivering a dreamy and intense performance.

In addition, the album “EXIST” includes a total of 9 tracks, including the title track “Cream Soda”, “Regret It” (co-written by Chanyeol), as well as “Private Party”, “Cinderella”, “No Makeup”, “Love Fool”, “Another Day”, “Let Me In”, and “Hear Me Out”.

Meanwhile, “Cream Soda” allowed fans to experience the maturity of the EXO members after an almost four-year hiatus as a complete group. The song maintained EXO’s unique sophisticated style while retaining the group’s edge, whilst the music video captured a glamorous atmosphere without going overboard, reminiscent of “The Great Gatsby.”

With their latest comeback, EXO has moved away from their early 20s’ fresh and powerful image, and showcased clean and impactful choreography that highlights the individual strengths of each member.

Although there were some setbacks prior to their comeback, the members’ professionalism and dedication shone through as they focused on their main job and showcased their peak maturity in this comeback title.
