New drama ‘Our Blues’ announces its all-star lineup consisting of 7 Korean famous actors
The cast lineup of the upcoming drama ‘Our Blues’ has been announced.
On October 7, the production crew of the new drama ‘Our Blues‘ (written by Noh Hee-kyung, directed by Kim Gyu-tae, planned by Studio Dragon, produced by GTist) shared, “Korea’s representative actors such as Lee Byung-hun, Shin Min-ah, Cha Seung-won, Lee Jung-eun, Han Ji-min, Kim Woo-bin and Uhm Jung-hwa will join our cast.”
‘Our Blues’ revolves around the stories of people with completely different lives. It features the sour, sweet, bitter life stories of various characters in the form of omnibus, set in the background of warm and lively Jeju Island. Having successfully collaborated in ‘Live’, ‘It’s Okay, That’s Love’ and ‘That Winter, The Wind Blows’, writer Noh Hee-kyung and director Kim Gyu-tae are drawing expectations and interests right from the production stage.
Lee Byung-hun will play Lee Dong-seok, a man born in Jeju who earns a living by selling trucks. World-class actor Lee Byung-hun is expected to transform into a rough and coarse man in the countryside of Jeju Island. Viewers are looking forward to his performance in this new role. Shin Min-ah will act alongside Lee Byung-hun in the role of Min Seon-ah, a woman who arrives in Jeju with a story to tell. Shin Min-ah, who has gained much attention lately for her lovely charm in her recent drama, will give off completely different and deep vibes through her role in “Our Blues”.
Cha Seung-won will play Choi Han-soo, who returns to his hometown Jeju after getting used to the city life. Lee Jung-eun will play Jung Eun-hee, a tough fish store owner who reunites with her first love Choi Han-soo after 30 years. Two well-appreciated actors, Cha Seung-won with a brilliant ability to transform into different characters and Lee Jung-eun with great acting, will be on-screen partners in this drama. The viewers are looking forward to what story Cha Seung-won and Lee Jung-eun will bring in the dynamic setting of Jeju Island.
Han Ji-min will take on the role of Lee Young-ok, a female diver with a year of experience. Lee Young-ok is a bright and affable character, but she is surrounded by many rumors. Han Ji-min, who won the Best Actress award at various film festivals, is expected to portray the unspeakable circumstance of Lee Young-ok with her sophisticated acting. Kim Woo-bin will play Park Jung-joon, a pure and warm-hearted ship captain. He meets Lee Young-ok while looking for a woman who will never leave Jeju, then falls for her. The drama comeback of Kim Woo-bin after ‘Uncontrollably Fond’ receives high anticipation from viewers.
Uhm Jung-hwa will transform into Go Mi-ran, who returns to Jeju because she is exhausted from the difficult city life. Always giving off different vibes in each work with her emotional acting, the public is looking forward to the changes she will portray in this drama. UhmJung-hwa will play Lee Jung-eun’s realistic friend in ‘Our Blues’. Her return on the small screen after 4 years is getting the public’s attention.
