Controversy over fairness erupted when “Physical: 100” did not test the contestants’ drug use

As Netflix’s “Physical 100” has gained huge popularity, attention is being paid whether the cast is doped.

On the 8th, Luyworks Media, the production company of “Physical 100,” said on a TV report, “We did not test the cast for doping,” and asked them to “see entertainment as entertainment.”

An official from “Physical 100” said, “Since it is not an official sports game, we did not conduct doping tests on the performers,” adding, “No matter how much help a person receives from drugs, they cannot get a good physique without individual efforts.”

The official continued, “The final appearance was decided as the first 1,000 to 500 and 500 to 100 [contestants],” adding, “which was made by those who passed a difficult selection process after undergoing psychiatric tests.”

“Physical 100” is an extreme survival game entertainment joined by 100 male and female participants who are proud to have strongest physical strength in order to seek out the best body with the strongest physical abilities. If the show does not factor in drug use control and only takes interest in displayed physical strenght on the show, the fair of the show is diminished.

Currently, there are suspicions that steroid drugs may have been used for the voices of some of the cast members of “Physical 100” and to boost their physical level.

In response, some viewers said, “In order to compete fairly, shouldn’t we check if a physique is a product of drug use?”

Nonetheless, others believed, “Why would one do doping tests when it’s an entertainment show?” and “It’s better to think it’s a show and take it lightly.” There were also many netizens who responded by saying, “There is no end to equity.”
