CJ Refutes “Lovely Runner” Band Eclipse’s Participation In KCON & M Countdown
CJ ENM corrected rumors and false information about the boy band Eclipse in tvN’s popular drama “Lovely Runner”
On June 4th, KCON host CJ ENM said to Newsen, “Eclipse is not in the performing lineup for KCON. They’re also not on the list of upcoming performers on Mnet’s ‘M Countdown’”.
“Lovely Runner” production team also released an official statement via Newsen, saying “Reports about Eclipse’s appearance at KCON are not true”. The agencies of actors who played members of Eclipse also refuted the news about the group’s participation in KCON.
Earlier, Daily Sports reported that Eclipse members Byun Woo-seok, Lee Seung-hyup, Moon Si-on and Yang Hyuk are preparing for a performance at KCON in Los Angeles this July.
Eclipse is a band in the drama “Lovely Runner”, which ended on May 28th, of the main character Ryu Seon-jae (Byun Woo-seok). Taking the role of the main vocalist of Eclipse, Byun Woo-seok impressed not only drama fans but also music lovers with his performance of “Lovely Runner” OST “Sudden Shower”. Gaining huge attention, “Sudden Shower” continued to rise on music charts and placed No.5 on Melon TOP 100 as of May 24th.
Following the success of the drama, Byun Woo-seok has been receiving many love calls and is carefully considering the next project.
Before confirming his next work, Byun Woo-seok decided to hold his first solo Asia fanmeeting tour ‘SUMMER LETTER’. Starting with Taipei (Taiwan), the actor plans to visit various Asian cities such as Seoul, Bangkok (Thailand), and Hong Kong to communicate with fans. His two-day Seoul fanmeeting at Jangchung Gymnasium on the 6th and 7th of July was sold out immediately after ticketing started, proving Byun Woo-seok’s rising popularity.
