Shooting Stars

tvN’s new Friday-Saturday drama “Shooting Stars” (written by Choi Yeon-soo/directed by Lee Soo-hyun/produced by Studio Dragon, Mays Entertainment), which is scheduled to premiere on April 22nd (Friday), is a romantic comedy about the people who work behind the scenes in the entertainment industry cleaning up the messes created by the stars. The work depicts the realistic story of people who stand behind the celebrities and shed blood, sweat, tears to make them shine like stars in the sky. “Shooting Stars” was helmed by PD Lee Soo-hyun of “Find Me in Your Memory”, “Awaken”, “The Witch’s Diner” as well as penned by writer Choi Yeon-soo, who has a long history of working at a management company, signaling the birth of a realistic romantic comedy.

Lee Sung-kyung played the role of Star Force Entertainment’s PR team leader Oh Han-byul, while Kim Young-dae took on the role of flawless top star Gong Tae-sung. The two are planning to build romance as they narrowly cross the boundary between enmity and closeness.

Shooting Stars

On March 30th (Wednesday), “Shooting Stars” released the main poster that captured the romantic moment of Lee Sung-kyung and Kim Young-dae, raising expectations for the main broadcast. In the poster, the two are sitting face to face on one corner of the set in the midst of getting ready for shooting. Lee Sung-kyung, who touches Kim Young-dae‘s hair, and Kim Young-dae, who gives up his hair to her touch, cause subtle excitement. Furthermore, the sweet eye contact between the two without busy staff knowing increases viewers’ heart rate and raises curiosity about the romance they will build in the future.

On the other hand, the fact that the backstage where Lee Sung-kyung and Kim Young-dae are sitting looks like the main stage is also of interest. Despite the cluttered waiting space with the lights off, bright light pours out from the two-shot of the two. As a result, expectations rise vertically for their sparkling behind-the-scenes story that will unfold outside the frame rather than in front of the splendidly set camera.

Meanwhile, tvN’s new Friday-Saturday drama “Shooting Stars” is scheduled to premiere at 10:40 p.m. on April 22nd (Friday).
