BTS Jimin became the first Korean soloist to rank 1st place on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and shared his feelings about it in a video message to fans on April 4th.
Jimin said, “I’m sorry to have turned on the live stream at this early hour, but I couldn’t express myself in writing, so I turned on the live stream. I can’t believe it’s real, so I don’t know what to say. I just want to express my gratitude to everyone sincerely.” He also mentioned that J-Hope called him first to congratulate him.

Jimin recalled when he first started working on his solo album, saying, “At that time, the members and I talked a lot. I think my self-esteem was a bit low at that time.”

In particular, Jimin mentioned his father, saying, “My father called me a little while ago and said he was proud of me. He played my music at home and cried. He was upset and said the content was a bit sad.”
