In the lineup to promote NCT’s next full album, all NCT members are present, except for Lucas and Winwin.
After a few teasers, on November 15, SM officially released a poster revealing the lineup of NCT 2021. NCT’s promotions as a full group is always highly anticipated because fans get to see all members in one place. However, through the poster, NCT 2021 is confirmed to consist of only 21 members, without Lucas and Winwin.
While it’s understandable that Lucas disappears from the lineup because he was involved in a shocking scandal at the end of August, Winwin‘s absence sparks controversy. Winwin recently set up a personal studio and started focusing on individual activities in China. However, he is still a member of NCT. The fact that SM excludes Winwin from his idol activities makes fans disappointed.

- I know that Winwin has a schedule in China, but I still regret it.
- Although I know Winwin has a personal schedule, it’s really sad. SM doesn’t want to push Winwin at all. When he was active in Korea, the line, screen time, and center part were all very few and now he’s not allowed to promote NCT 2021.

NCT 2021 project is named Universe. The album will be officially released on December 14.
