BTS’s Jimin and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo are two of the most excellent soloists with their astounding number of nominations at the 2023 MAMA
On November 28 and 29, the 2023 MAMA will be held under the theme of “One I Born”, where “I” with infinite potential and MAMA meet with positive energy and are born together as “ONE.”
This year, alongside famous K-Pop groups, BTS’s Jimin and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo triumphed over solo nominations.
In particular, with her viral title “Flower”, Jisoo is nominated in a total of 6 categories, including Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Worldwide Fans’ Choice, Best Female Artist, Best Dance Performance – Female Solo, and Best Music Video.
Meanwhile, BTS’s Jimin received 5 nominations as a lead artist, and 3 more as a featured artist on Taeyang’s “VIBE”, already making him one of the most nominated names at MAMA this year. In particular, he is nominated in Artist of the Year, Song of the Year (2 times), Album of the Year, Best Male Artist, Best Collaboration, Best Dance Performance – Male Solo (2 times).
BTS also got nominated in Song of the Year (2 times), Worldwide Fans’ Choice, Best Vocal Performance – Group, and Best OST, tallying Jimin’s total nominations (if including BTS) up to 13.
Meanwhile, the 2023 MAMA will be hosted by Park Bo Gum and Jeon Somi, and exciting performances are expected to blow away the audience.
