Blackpink’s Jennie Makes Solo Comeback in June with An Album

According to a report by News1 on the 31st, Jennie will make a comeback to the music scene by releasing a solo album in June. She is currently focusing on her album production and putting considerable effort into planning her solo activities that will accompany the release.

Since her debut as a member of Blackpink in 2016, Jennie has risen as a global star through group activities. Furthermore, with her solo single ‘SOLO’ released in November 2018 and the special solo single ‘You & Me’ released in October 2023, she firmly established her position as a top singer by showcasing her unique style. This is why there is high anticipation for Jennie’s upcoming solo album.

Interest is also heightened in this solo album as it marks Jennie’s first music-related work since establishing her personal company OA (ODD ATELIER). Previously, Blackpink renewed their contract with their agency YG Entertainment for group activities last year but officially announced their intention to pursue an independent path for individual activities apart from YG Entertainment. Jennie subsequently established OA in December last year.

Meanwhile, Jennie is currently appearing as a fixed cast member on the tvN variety show ‘Apartment 404,’ where she is receiving love from fans for her friendly and adorable charm. In February, Jennie topped the ranking of cast members’ popularity announced by the analytical firm GoodData.
