“The female lead will be changed in Part 2”… tvN’s drama “Alchemy of Souls”, which has released 8 episodes, delivers surprising news

tvN’s drama “Alchemy of Souls” will change the female lead and begin filming Part 2.

According to a report by Hankook Ilbo on July 12th, the production team of “Alchemy of Souls” has finished filming 20 episodes of Part 1 and will start filming Part 2, which will be composed of 10 episodes. The female lead of Part 1 is Jung So-min, however, Part 2 will be led by Go Yoon-jung, who plays the role of Nak-soo. The male lead actors Lee Jae-wook, Hwang Min-hyun, Shin Seung-ho, and Yoo In-soo will return in the new part as they are.

Alchemy of Souls

“Alchemy of Souls” is a fantasy drama that depicts the growth of those whose fates are twisted due to a “soul-changing” spell against the backdrop of a fictional country called Daeho that does not exist in history or on maps. 

In particular, it tells the story that begins when warrior Nak-soo (Go Yoon-jung), whose soul is trapped in the body of Moo-deok (Jung So-min) when her life is in danger, accepts Jang Wook (Lee Jae-wook), the son of Jang’s family, as her student.

“Alchemy of Souls” airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:10 p.m. The drama has received positive reviews for amazing CG effects and character images since its first episode. “Alchemy of Souls” maintains its viewer ratings in the range of 5-6% and has aired up to 8 episodes.
