BLACKPINK Rosé Sends Message to “I-LAND Season 2” Contestants
Mnet's 'I-LAND 2: NA' teaser video has been unveiled.
After announcing that Rosé (BLACKPINK) would participate in performing the theme song, on the morning of March 29th, the survival show “I-LAND Season 2” for finding a girl group released a performance teaser. In this teaser, 24 talented contestants appeared on a glamorous stage illuminated by metaball effects. Although the official melody of the song has not been revealed yet, the snippet sampling “The Final Countdown” has certainly aroused curiosity for the full version of the official video.
As the vocalist for the theme song of I-LAND Season 2 titled “Final Love Song,” Rosé (BLACKPINK) also sent a message to the contestants: “To I-LAND 2, I’m very happy to sing the theme song of I-LAND 2 with you all. I-LANDers, please do your best. Rosé.”
The theme song for I-LAND Season 2, produced by THE BLACK LABEL, will be titled “Final Love Song” based on a sample from “The Final Countdown.” According to executive producer Teddy, the song will have a melody suitable for a powerful dance.
Before I-LAND 2 officially airs, contestants of the program were involved in controversy related to allegations of school violence, but currently, the program has not disclosed any further stance on this matter.
The full version video of “Final Love Song” will feature a group performance by the 24 contestants and Rosé. The official release of the song will be on April 4th at 6 PM (KST).
