Bang Ye-dam Mentions AKMU’s Lee Chan-hyuk, “He’s The Frog Prince And I Talk To Him A Lot About Music”

Singer-songwriter & former TREASURE member Bang Ye-dam talked about his friendship with AKMY’s Lee Chan-hyuk

On December 14th, Bang Ye-dam guested on MBC FM4U’s “Kim Shin-young’s Noon Song of Hope” after making his comeback as a solo artist.

On the broadcast, Bang Ye-dam confessed that he picked the tracks for his album from 38 songs he wrote and composed so he was 100% satisfied with the album result. The male singer shared, “Since I have to promote the album, I need to be 100% sure about it”. He also revealed that tracks 1,2 and 3 were all candidates for the title song and chose “Not At All” as his favorite song.

In the speed quiz section, Bang Ye-dam said composing was easier than writing lyrics but lyrics were more important. When asked about his composing tips, he said, “When I had an idea, I would take a voice note and then compose a song based on that”.

When asked to describe Lee Chan-hyuk to him in 5 letters, Bang Ye-dam replied, “The Frog Prince”. Regarding the reason, he said, “At some points, he began to like frogs. The green frog is like his muse. He finds inspiration in green frogs. That’s cool”, adding “I talk to him a lot about music”.

A listener sent a question to the radio program, saying “Lee Chan-hyuk is mean to only one person. Her name is Lee Soo-hyun”. Kim Shin-young then commented, “Lee Chan-hyuk loves Lee Soo-hyun the most. If they really don’t get along with each other, they will not mention each other but rather pretend to be on good terms. This means they have trust and love as the basis of their brother and sister relationship”. Hearing that, Bang Ye-dam agreed, “Of course. Because he loves her very much”.
