Cameron teased that “Avatar 3” will introduce a more antagonistic race of Na’vi.

Originally, Cameron planned to release the Avatar series every 2 years. “Avatar 3” was originally scheduled for release in December 2024.

However, due to the impact of the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike during the production process, the release has been delayed by a year, now rescheduled for December 2025.

As a result, the sequels “Avatar 4” and “Avatar 5” have also been postponed to 2029 and 2031, respectively. However, specific release dates have not been disclosed, leaving fans disappointed.

This is the first time that the release schedule has been officially established, and Internet users who received the news showed various reactions.

In particular, Korean netizens left comments such as, “Still, it’s reassuring that they are confirmed to be released,” “I will patiently wait,” “I’ll wait, so come back with an even more amazing work,” “I wonder how great the movie will be,” and “Looking forward to it.

However, some individuals expressed impatience, saying, “How can we wait for two years?” and “Waiting is tough.

Meanwhile, “Avatar 3” is known to have a completely different setting from its predecessors, “Avatar 1” and “Avatar: The Way of Water” (“Avatar 2”).

In particular, according to director James Cameron, the 3rd installment of “Avatar” will introduce a completely new culture, and various creatures and cultures set against backgrounds like tropical rainforests, the Arctic, deserts, and oceans will unfold. As a result, efforts are made to design not only characters but also cultures.

Furthermore, unlike previous series, Cameron teased the appearance of the “Bad Na’vi Tribe”, building anticipation.

Even the edited version of “Avatar 3” is said to be 9 hours long, raising questions about how long the final running time will be.
