Amid 19+ stage controversy, Hwasa wowed actors at Blue Dragon Series Awards with powerful performance
Singer Hwasa performed an impressive congratulatory stage at the 2nd Blue Dragon Series Awards.
On July 19th, the 2nd Blue Dragon Series Awards was held at Paradise City, Incheon.
Hwasa took the stage and sang her hit song “Maria” right after Suzy delivered her acceptance speech as the winner of Best Actress.
Wearing a purple see-through shirt and spangle pants, Hwasa exuded a charismatic aura. Performing in front of many actors, she overwhelmed everyone with her bold and confident expressions.
LACHICA Gabee took out her phone and recorded Hwasa when she showcased her excellent live singing skills while doing powerful dances.
Do Kyung Soo (EXO D.O) opened his mouth wide out of astonishment and admiration for Hwasa’s amazing stage presence.
Many celebrities at the awards ceremony, including Lim Ji Yeon, Lee Eun Ji, Yoo Jae Suk, Hong Seok Cheon, Song Hye Kyo, etc., applauded loudly after Hwasa completed the stage.
Earlier in May, Hwasa joined Sungkyunkwan Unversity Festival and sparked a controversy over her provocative gestures during her performance, such as touching a certain sensitive part of her body.
As the controversy intensified, the Parents’ Association for the Protection of Students’ Human Rights filed a complaint with the Seoul Seongdong Police Station against Hwasa due to her obscene performance, claiming that Hwasa’s inappropriate gestures might have a negative impact on students.
Not making any specific statements regarding the issue, Hwasa attended Psy’s concert in Yeosu, Jeollanam-do on the 15th and confessed, “I was more worried about losing my voice rather than the complaint. But I forget all my worries and fears when I’m on the stage”.
