Netflix confirmed the production of a new drama and announced the casting of Kim Yoon Seok, Yoon Kye Sang, Go Min Si, and Lee Jung Eun.
It was recently revealed that Netflix is working with Mo Wan Il, director of the dramas “The World of the Married” and “Misty”, to produce a new series titled “In the Woods with No One” (literal translation). “In the Woods with No One” is a mystery thriller in which a pension owner struggles to protect his precious life when a suspicious woman appears at the pension one summer.
Veteran cast members with unrivaled acting skills and presence have confirmed their appearances in “In the Woods with No One”, foreshadowing strong synergy. Kim Yoon Seok, who has proven himself in “Escape from Mogadishu”, “Another Child”, “1987: When the Day Comes”, “The Thieves”, and “The Chaser”, will assume the role of Jeon Young Ha, the pension owner. Young Ha, who runs a pension nestled in a deep forest, is disturbed by a mysterious woman, Seong Ah, who comes as a guest one day.
Meanwhile, Yoon Kye Sang, who showed limitless acting transformation in the films “Spiritwaler”, “Mal-Mo-E: The Secret Mission”, and “The Outlaws”, plays Gu Sang Jun, the former pension owner. Sang Jun is a character who loses everything he holds dear due to an incident that took place at the pension in the early summer of the 2000s.
Yoo Seong Ah, who threatens Young Ha’s daily life, is played by Go Min Si, who has proven her infinite potential by digesting various genres and characters in Netflix series “Sweet Home” and “Love Alarm”, as well as TV drama “Youth of May”, and movie “The Witch”.
Finally, Yoon Bo Min, a former police chief who relentlessly digs into cases, solves them, and thinks of them as a kind of play, is played by Lee Jung Eun, a famous actress who has appeared in the Netflix series “Juvenile Justice”, as well as the drama “When the Camellia Blooms” and the movie “Parasite”.
“In the Woods with No One” is a fresh story about the different choices of current pension owner Young Ha and the former pension owner Sang Jun, two men who live in different time zones but encounter similar events that change their lives.
Director Mo Wan Il, who has proven his outstanding ability in the psychological thriller genre, directs “In the Woods with No One”, raising expectations and garnering a lot of interest.
At the same time, “In the Woods with No One” is scheduled to be released in 190 countries around the world through Netflix.
