A woman who lives with 30 cats in a house full of trash turns out to be the older sister of famous singer
The identity of a woman who lives with 30 cats in a redevelopment area that’s about to be demolished was revealed.
On the August 5th episode of SBS show “Curious Stories Y”, the story of a woman living with 30 cats in a house full of garbage was revealed.
In particular, the woman’s name is Kim Mi Sook, and the broadcast showed her house filled with garbage to the point there was a foul stench and no room to walk. Even in this house with no light or hot water, the woman was busy taking care of her cats rather than herself.
According to Kim Mi Sook, there were originally only 13 cats, but the number has later reached 30. Food for the cats took up all of her money, so she couldn’t take care of her own meal. However, even the cats were in a bad situation, as many were trapped in filthy room with a narrow cage.
An acquaintance of Kim Mi Sook explained: “She only has a younger brother, but he is a public figure. She trembles whenever she talks about him for fear of causing trouble to her family.”
It has been confirmed that Kim Mi Sook’s only family member is famous singer Kim, who was well known in the 80s. In a phone call with the production team, this singer said: “Even if I got her an apartment and sign a contract, I won’t go in because of the cat. It has been years since I stopped sending her living expenses. When I give her money, she keeps bringing in more cats. I know my sister is not normal.”
It was confirmed that Kim Mi-sook’s only family was a famous singer Kim, who made her name widely known in the 80s. In a phone call with the production team, Kim said, “Even if I get an apartment and sign a contract, I won’t go in because of the cat. It’s been a few years since I stopped living expenses. They brought more cats because they gave me living expenses. I know that my sister is not normal.”
However, the cousin of Kim Mi Sook countered: “Mi Sook doesn’t have any greed other than taking care of her younger sibling and living with her family. However, her brother’s income gradually increased and as he got married, he severed contact with her.”
Investigation also revealed that Kim Mi Sook was actively engaged in economic activities in the past, such as drawing illustrations for fairy tales and cartoon films. In fact, she has been drawing for more than 20 years since graduating from high school, and was named in the animation production teams of “Robot Taekwon V” and “Ogon Bat”.
When the production team asked, “What would you do if someone asked to adopt a cat?”, Kim Mi Sook responded positively by saying, “If they’re really good people and promise to take responsibility until the end, I will let them.”
