A netizen rebuts rumors of Kim Garam being bullied at school after getting kicked out of LE SSERAFIM 

“It’s a joke to say that Kim Garam is being bullied.” 

On August 2nd, on a Korean online community, a post refuting the rumor of former LE SSERAFIM member Kim Garam being bullied in high school after her departure from the group, was shared. 

OP said, “I’m writing this because it’s ridiculous to see nonsense rumors and YouTube videos about Kim Garam being bullied after leaving LE SSERAFIM. (The evidence photo of Kim Garam being bullied) shows Kyungin Middle School’s gym clothes, so it was taken a long time before the controversy broke out.”

OP countered, “The scribbled curses on the desk look as if the students of Seoul Arts High School were bullying Kim Garam while Kim Garam and other students used to swear at each other in middle school.” In fact, a number of messages that show Kim Garam using abusive language with friends through social media have been released before.

Earlier, on August 1st, an online community post titled, “Kim Garam’s current whereabouts” drew much attention. The post includes a photo of the school desk assumed to be Kim Garam’s, with scribbles containing profanity written all over it. Netizens then speculated that after being removed from LE SSERAFIM, Kim Garam is currently suffering from school violence, including verbal abuse and bullying.

Kim Garam was caught up in suspicion of school violence even before her debut and was excluded from official activities of LE SSERAFIM shortly after her debut. Eventually, on July 20th, her contract with Source Music and HYBE was terminated. She officially left LE SSERAFIM.
