A dance of TWICE is so tiring that the members can’t even walk afterwards, but Jeongyeon still pulls it off despite her neck injury
The choreography of this hit of TWICE causes fans to be worried about the members’ health because it is too exhausting.
On November 18, 3 members of TWICE, Jihyo, Tzuyu and Jeongyeon appeared on the YouTube channel odg. TWICE had the opportunity to talk with students about their journey to pursue their passion for music.
TWICE is always famous for their memorable and eye-catching choreography that are easy to go viral. TWICE’s dance may look easy at first glance, but the truth is, in order to achieve perfect synchronization, the members face many difficulties while practicing and performing. Leader Jihyo revealed that the choreography for the song MORE & MORE was the hardest dance TWICE had ever done.
Jeongyeon also revealed that the time to promote MORE & MORE was when she had just undergone cervical disc surgery. “I had a ruptured disc in my neck and was hospitalized a week before the comeback. I still remember it now.”
Despite the injury, Jeongyen still stepped onto the stage to perform MORE & MORE, just a week after the surgery. The students expressed their admiration for Jeongyeon, “You are very professional”.
Before that, in 2020, when TWICE made a comeback with MORE & MORE, the choreography for this song was entangled in many controversies. Many fans have discovered that on stage, the members were out of breath many times. Even after performing, the group’s main dancer, Momo, hugged her chest and fell on her back with a tired look on her face.
Moreover, because of performing too many difficult movements, some members clearly showed bruises all over their body. This makes fans extremely sad.
However, some fans expressed disappointment that the members’ efforts did not appear to have much of an impact. MORE & MORE’s choreography has been criticized for being overly difficult, with too many unnecessary moves. As a result, unlike TWICE’s previous songs, this choreography did not have a strong viral effect.
Jihyo shared, “MORE & MORE is a song with high energy, and the dance consists of many difficult moves and complicated formation.” Jihyo said the members were “too exhausted to leave the stage” after performing MORE & MORE.
When watching the ending fairy moments of the members panting, Jihyo said those were their real expressions and everyone felt like they were dying.
