A 29-year-old singer is determined to become an idol by debuting… for the sixth time

It can be seen that this female idol always strives to pursue her artistic career in showbiz!

It’s not uncommon for an idol to debut multiple times in K-pop. Some names that come to mind are Taeyeon, who debuted with SNSD and then participated in various projects like TaeTiSeo, Oh! GG, Got the Beat, and also had a solo career, and HyunA, who debuted with Wonder Girls and later joined 4Minute, Trouble Maker, Triple H, HyunA&DAWN, and pursued a solo career.

However, there’s a female idol who, despite being 29 years old, is determined to debut for the 6th time to find a stable foothold in showbiz. In the first season of the Produce 101 series in 2016, Kim So Hee, then 21 years old (born in 1995), appeared as a contestant. Although she made it to the final round, she missed the debut with I.O.I, ranking 15th. She then joined the project group C.I.V.A.

In 2016, So Hee became an official member of I.B.I, a group formed from Produce 101 for contestants who didn’t make the top 11. However, both C.I.V.A and I.B.I disbanded shortly after.

A year later, So Hee participated in a reality show and debuted with the project group Girls Next Door alongside Seulgi (Red Velvet) and Moonbyul (MAMAMOO). Additionally, she officially debuted solo in November 2017 with the mini-album The Fillette.

After leaving her management company in 2019, she signed with n.CH Entertainment and joined the group NATURE, but this group also announced its disbandment in April 2024.

Before NATURE disbanded, So Hee participated in the TROT GIRLS JAPAN show, but for some reasons, she couldn’t appear in the Korea VS Japan Trot version. Nonetheless, an opportunity opened up as So Hee and Kanou Miyu, a contestant from TROT GIRLS JAPAN, decided to form the duo Atlantis Kitsune under n.CH, set to debut in August 2024.

Despite a bumpy career, Kim So Hee has never extinguished her passion, continuously seeking opportunities to establish herself in showbiz. At 29, the idol is challenging herself once more, hoping this time she will achieve success!
