Top K-pop Artists in 2024 1st Half: SEVENTEEN Albums, TWS Streaming, Lim Young-woong for Downloads
In the 1st half of 2024, standout K-pop artists include SEVENTEEN (albums), TWS (streaming), and Lim Young-woong (downloads).
On July 12, Circle Chart released its semi-annual chart report. In the album chart, which is based on album sales, SEVENTEEN’s best album “17 IS RIGHT HERE” sold 3,080,490 copies, topping the chart.
Following last year’s success with “FML”, which sold 5,546,930 copies and topped the annual album chart, SEVENTEEN has also achieved the top spot on the album chart for the first half of this year.
In the streaming category, the rookie group TWS topped the chart with their debut song “plot twist”. This song also secured the number one spot on the digital chart, earning TWS a double crown.
In the download chart for the first half of the year, Lim Young-woong swept the top 2 positions.
Since 2021, Lim Young-woong has consistently topped the annual download chart.
Additionally, the rookie girl group ILLIT topped the global K-pop chart with their debut song “Magnetic”, and FIFTY FIFTY ranked first on the Social Chart.
