BLACKPINK Jennie Makes 1st Public Appearance after Controversy Due to “The Idol” Release  

BLACKPINK Jennie and Jisoo attracted attention when they appeared at the airport today (June 9).

On June 9th, BLACKPINK Jennie arrived at Gimpo International Airport to depart for Australia. This is her first public appearance after coming under controversy due to her acting debut role in “The Idol”. 

Korean media outlet TenAsia even claimed that “The Idol” could be Jennie’s downfall. However, there are still many fans who defend Jennie. 

At the airport, Jennie wore sunglasses, a mask, and waved friendly to the reporters and fans.

Jennie appeared for the first time after causing controversy over her debut role in “The Idol,” covering her face with a mask and sunglasses.

Jisoo also appeared at Gimpo Airport on the same day. Jisoo has fully recovered from COVID-19. Previously, she had to sit out of BLACKPINK’s concerts in Osaka due to testing positive for COVID-19. 

Jisoo is resuming her schedules after fully recovering from COVID-19. On June 10th, she will join the group’s concert in Australia.
Jisoo warmly waved to the reporters and fans.
