“The Heirs” ranks high on different rankings and easily captivates viewers’ attention. Despite the “rich guy falls for poor girl” motif, the series still obtains a resounding success and brings moments of laughter to the audience.

My Love from the Star

Do Min Joon (Kim Soo Hyun) is a temporary citizen of the Earth. A 400-year-old alien but handsome Min Joon enjoys his time of solitude and patiently waits for the day he can return to his home planet. He accidentally meets Chun Song Yi (Jun Ji Hyun), a famous star with an ill temper in a class that he teaches. They are neighbors and romance blooms between them through ironic situations.

Trash (Jung Woo), a medical student, and Chil Bong (Yoo Yeon Seok), a baseball pitcher, both of whom get caught in a love triangle with Na Jung. Na Jung falls for Trash, who only considers her as a friend, while Chi Bong secretly has feelings for Na Jung, despite having girls lined up for him.

It tells the story of an ordinary servant who rises above her ranks and becomes a force to be reckoned with in the royal palace. She has a first love with Wang yoo (Joo Jin Mo), whom she never forgets but can never be with him.

Min Hyuk later got engaged with another woman but cannot overcome his girlfriend’s death. Yoo Jung tries to lead a normal life again but cannot face Min Hyuk, as he considers her to be the source of his misery. Nonetheless, he falls for her. Later, Min Hyuk and Yoo Jung learn a bitter truth from their intertwined past.

Soo Ha vows to protect Hye Sun for the rest of his life.

I Can Hear Your Voice

Years later, Hye Sung (Lee Bo Young) grows to become a distant and irritable lawyer who is bored by legal cases and disenchanted with life. On the opposite end, Soo Ha is still with her, more so when the convict is doing the last days of his sentence and will be out of prison soon.

Lee Bo Young and Lee Jong Suk shine as two opposites but somehow compatible through moments of chemistry. The drama was such a hit that it was extended to two more episodes.

Gu Family Book

“Gu Family Book” is a famous historical fantasy drama that tells the story of Kang Chi (Lee Seung Gi) who is a half-human and half-gumiho. He likes to cause troubles and is completely unaware of his past. After the family that raises him suffers from an attack, Kang Chi sets out to seek the truth about his origin and how to become a full human. He meets Dam Yeo Wool (Suzy), a martial arts instructor disguised as a man, and they gradually develop feelings for each other.

Lee Seung Gi was highly praised for his natural acting style and versatile acting skills that make any challenging role a cruising ride for him.
