Lim Ji Yeon attempted to make the first pitch at the baseball game held at Jamsil Baseball Stadium on May 21st.
On May 22nd, A video titled “Awesome, Yeon Jin! Behind-the-Scenes of Lim Ji Yeon’s First Pitch” was released on the YouTube channel “LGTWINSTV”.
In the video, Lim Ji Yeon can be seen preparing for the first pitch at the “2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League” game between the LG Twins and the Hanwha Eagles, which took place at Jamsil Baseball Stadium on May 21st.
Here, Lim Ji Yeon said, “I’ve never thrown a ball before. Actually, it’s my first time at a baseball stadium,” adding, “I don’t have confidence in sports that involve throwing a ball, so I hope it’s not embarrassing.”
However, she continued, “But it’s an honor. I’ve never thought about the jersey number, but I received a recommendation for number 31.”
The actress also mentioned her fellow co-stars in “The Glory”, who had participated in the first pitch before her and expressed concerns about her own skills, saying, “I watched it a bit, and they were all really good”.
In particular, regarding the highly-discussed first pitch of Jung Sung Il, who played her husband in “The Glory”, Lim Ji Yeon said, “He’s a celebrity baseball player, so I asked him through text”.
According to Lim Ji Yeon, she texted Jung Sung Il asking what she should do, to which he simply replied, “You’ll practice on your own”.
“He’s not interested in me”, Lim Ji Yeon also jokingly added, evoking laughter.
