4 Korean actors criticized for their weight gain: Even top visuals like Kim Tae Hee, Lee Min Ho are “called out”

Kim Tae Hee
Known as one of the most beautiful Korean actresses, even Kim Tae Hee used to receive critical comments about her size. The production team also released their statement in defense of Yoo Seung Ho from the negative comments; they said, “Before we started filming, we suggested to him that he should gain some weight in order to suit his character.” The executive producer of the movie, So Jae Hyun, also voiced his opinion: “Actor Yoo Seung Ho gained weight on purpose with specific exercises in order to portray the role of Dong Baek. In the meeting before we started filming, he wondered if he could act like the character in the original webtoon. He told us his worries and suggested the idea of gaining weight. Therefore, the production team totally agreed with him, and they even thanked Yoo Seung Ho for his professionalism in preparing for this project.”
