1st place is BTS, then 2nd place? ‘Boy Group Brand Reputation’ Rankings For July 2022  Revealed

The group BTS took first place as a result of big data analysis in July 2022 for boy group brand reputation.

The Korea Institute for Corporate Reputation measured the participation index, media index, communication index, and community index for boy group brands through consumer behavior analysis of 46,074,320 boy group brand big data measured from June 9, 2022 to July 9, 2022. Compared to 65,651,158 brand big data in June, it decreased by 29.82%.

Accordingly, the BTS brand, which ranked first in the boy group brand reputation, was analyzed as a brand reputation index of 5,786,587, with a participation index of 839,157, a media index of 2,735,391, a communication index of 1,203,366, a community index of 1,008,674. Compared to the brand reputation index of 11,581,981 in May, it fell by 50.04%.

2nd place belongs to Seventeen with a participation index of 523,888, a media index of 1,586,867, a communication index of 825,266, and community index of 975,055. The index was analyzed as 3,911,076. Compared to the brand reputation index of 5,823,248 in May, it fell by 32.84%.

NCT rose to 3rd place for July by having a brand reputation index of 2,326,899, including a participation index of 153,303, a media index of 702,039, a communication index of 437,924, a community index of 1,033,634. Compared to the brand reputation index of 2,663,252 in May, it fell 12.63%.

The fourth-ranked ASTRO brand was analyzed to have a brand reputation index of 1,778,666 as a participation index of 114,806, a media index of 467,036, a communication index of 245,703, a community index of 951,122. Compared to the brand reputation index of 2,355,247 in May, it fell 24.48%.

In the 5th place is the boygroup Monsta X (Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Jooheon, I.M). The group’s brand reputation this month was an index of 1,698,377, 199,267 in participation, 715,915 in media, and 358,059, 425,137 in communication.  Compared to the brand reputation index of 2,663,252 in May, it decreased by 36.23%.

Koo Chang-hwan, director of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, said, “As a result of big data analysis of boy group brand reputation in July 2022, the brand of BTS once again ranked first. The boy group brand category decreased by 29.82% compared to 65,651,158 points in June. According to a detailed analysis, their brand consumption fell by 17.79%, brand issue fell by 19.61%, brand communication fell by 24.12%, and brand spread fell by 44.82%,” he said.

He continued, “The BTS brand, which ranked first in the boy group brand reputation in July 2022 in big data analysis, was highly analyzed in link analysis for ‘activate, disclose, respond’. In the positive/negative ratio keyword analysis of the three words ‘Proof, J-Hope, Jungkook’, the positive ratio was 60.89%.
