Lee Bo-young “Family value achieved with Ji Sung, I become free as myself on set”
The story of actress Lee Bo-young as a wife and mother was unfolded through the show "Newsroom."
In the latest episode of JTBC’s “News Room,” which was broadcast on March 24th, Lee Bo-young appeared as a guest to promote her new drama “Hide.”
Lee Bo-young has one son and one daughter after marrying fellow actor Ji-sung in 2013. Regarding her children, she said, “Honestly, I wasn’t interested in having children until I became a mother.”
“There is a child actor who is the same age as my daughter in this drama. Being a mother, that child is like my daughter. When I act with the child, my eyes and behavior change,” she explained in detail.
In an interview 20 years ago, Lee used to say, “I dream of being a good actress while staying true to my role.” Referring to this remark, she laughed and said, “Don’t the roles change according to my age? At some point, I will become someone’s mom or someone’s grandmother.”
Furthermore, she added, “My heart is the same even now. Family is precious to me, but there is a freedom that I feel as myself only when I come to the set. I have a desire to continue to be me,” showing her conviction as an actress.
