Yoo Ah In’s house raided by police for drug investigation, date for interrogation is set 

As part of investigating Yoo Ah In for illegal drug use, the police raided his house today. 

On March 7th, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s drug crime investigation unit raided Yoo Ah In’s house in Hannam-dong. The police have also requested Yoo Ah In to appear for interrogation on March 14th. 

This investigation comes after the Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA) identified Yoo Ah In, along with 51 other individuals, as having received regular prescriptions of propofol, a powerful anesthetic that is commonly abused as a recreational drug.

When Yoo Ah In entered Korea from the U.S. on February 5th, the police collected his urine and hair and asked the National Forensic Service for a detailed examination.

The results of the test showed that Yoo Ah In had received a total of 4,400 milliliters of propofol over the course of 73 visits to medical facilities in 2021 alone, with an average of approximately 60 milliliters per visit, which is three times the recommended dosage for procedures such as gastroscopy. Usually, 15 to 20ml is an appropriate amount for gastroscopy.

Furthermore, Yoo Ah In’s hair samples were found to contain traces of four different types of drugs, including propofol, marijuana, cocaine, and ketamine. While Yoo Ah In has reportedly denied using cocaine, he stated that he had used ketamine for medical purposes, as it is a known sleep anesthetic.

Illegal drug use in South Korea is a serious issue, and celebrities who are caught using drugs often face significant consequences, including damage to their reputation, fines, and even imprisonment. The investigation into Yoo Ah In’s alleged drug use is ongoing, and the actor has yet to make an official statement regarding the matter.
