Yoo Ah In posted his first apology “My mistake could not be covered by any excuse”

Actor Yoo Ah In, who is suspected of using drugs, posted an apology after completing the police investigation.

On March 28th, Yoo Ah In uploaded a long post through his Instagram, saying, “I made an insufficient apology right after the police investigation yesterday. I apologize once again for disappointing many people who have loved and cared for me due to a shameful thing.”

Yoo Ah In continued, “I would like to express my apology to those who worked with me in precious works such as movies, dramas and advertisements. Many people supported me and gave me generous encouragement and affection, but I feel great regret and shame for the fact that I was harming myself while continuing my career as an actor.”

He added, “During the time of self-reflection, I was clearly aware that my mistake was a mistake that could not be covered by any excuse. I will faithfully participate in the upcoming investigations, and I will accept all of your criticisms as well as the law’s judgment.”

Earlier, Yoo Ah In appeared at the police station at 9:20 AM on March 27th. He was interrogated for nearly 12 hours before leaving the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s Drug Crime Investigation Unit at 9:20 PM.

Standing in front of the reporters after the investigation, Yoo Ah In said in a trembling voice, “I told the truth as far as I could in the investigation. I deeply reflect on the fact that I disappointed many people who have loved me because of a shameful thing. I’m sorry.”

When asked if he admitted to the charges, Yoo Ah In replied, “I’m cautious about telling you the details because the investigation is not over yet, but personally, I think I fell into the wrong swamp amid the self-justification that my deviant acts do not harm anyone.”

Yoo Ah In is currently suspected of using propofol, cannabis, ketamine and cocaine, which were detected as a result of a thorough examination by the National Forensic Service. After completing the investigation on Yoo Ah In, the police are reportedly planning to comprehensively review whether to secure his whereabouts through an arrest warrant and whether each charge is established.
