“20th Century Girl” tells the memories of 1999 on a videotape that arrived one winter. It is a movie about a 17-year-old girl named Bo-ra, who becomes the cupid to make the first love of her best friend Yeon-du come true. Kim Yoo-jung plays Na Bo-ra, a 17-year-old girl who struggles to make the first love of her best friend Yeon-du (played by Roh Yoon-seo) come true.

Han Hyo-joo appeared as the adult “Bora” and performed her best. About the actress’ appearance, Kim Yoo-jung said, “When I heard about sister Han Hyo-joo, I thought it would be nice if she would be able to appear, so when she said she would gladly do it, I was very happy. We had a tight relationship since I was young, but we didn’t have many chances to meet and talk in person, so I got closer to her through this work.”

Kim Yoo-jung also added, “I’ve been working since I was little, and sister Han Hyo-joo has been working for a long time, so there were parts where I could ask for advice and there were moments where we could talk. I feel like I have an older sister I can personally rely on. I’ve never thought I looked like her, but when I saw the movie, it made sense. I really liked it, because I felt like the scene was moving on without any discomfort.”

Finally, the actress said, “I didn’t get to work with sister Han Hyo-joo in acting, but she came to the filming set and we met after filming was over. She told me to tell her whenever I have a hard time and to comfortably share my worries that I can’t tell anyone. Her existence alone seems to be a great help.”
