YG takes down videos posting a snippet of an unreleased song suspected to be BLACKPINK’s from Somi’s Instagram live

On March 2, Jeon Somi took social media by storm after she accidentally dropped a huge spoiler of an unreleased YG song. Specifically, on her Instagram live, when Somi was entering a studio at her agency The Black Label (YG’s subsidiary), a song was playing loudly. Somi closed the door right away but a 2-second line of the song was clearly heard. Fans then quickly reposted the leaked audio of the line “No, you can’t take me down” to Twitter, Youtube,… BLACKPINK’s fans have been suspecting this snippet is a part of the group’s long-awaited comeback song, because it sounds like Jennie’s voice.

However, if you have yet to check out Somi’s Instagram live and heard the spoiler, you might have missed the chance. Because currently, all videos of Somi’s live with the leaked audio have been reported and disabled by YG on the grounds of copyright infringement. Some fan accounts that shared the snippet also revealed they received notice from YG saying it was a leak of BLACKPINK’s new song.

Fans think YG’s actions mean they have technically confirmed what was heard in Somi’s live broadcast was BLACKPINK’s song. Whether this is part of the title track or a b-side on BLACKPINK’s next album, one thing fans can rest assured is that BLACKPINK’s comeback is happening real soon.
