According to reports on June 9, Kim Yoon-seol’s funeral procession was held that day. The burial site is Seongnam Yeongsaengwon, while the encoffining ceremony took place on June 8.

News of the late singer’s passing became known after an acquaintance shared the heartbreaking update, writing, “Seol has gone to heaven,” and explaining, “I’m sharing this on Instagram because her phone and everything are locked, so there was no other way to let people know.”

Kim Yoon-seol debuted in 2013 with the single “Man and Woman 2013” and previously won Mnet’s audition program “The Voice Kids Korea.” Over the years, the singer also appeared on audition and music shows including “The Voice of Korea Season 3” and “I Can See Your Voice Season 7.”

In particular, Kim gained renewed attention after appearing as Contestant No. 6 on “Sing Again Season 4” in October last year, successfully advancing past the first round.

On May 23, Kim posted what would become the final message on social media, writing, “I am now singing again under my own name,” and adding, “I hope even a little happiness reaches wherever my songs are heard.”
