Writer Of “A Good Day To Be A Dog” Starring Cha Eun-woo Described The Drama With 3 Words “Curse, Puppy, Love”

Baek In-ah, the author of “A Good Day To Be A Dog” revealed its hidden message.

MBC’s new Wednesday drama “A Good Day To Be A Dog,” which is scheduled to premiere on September 11th, is an unpredictable fantasy romance drama based on the original Naver Webtoon of the same name. It tells the story of a girl who turns into a dog when she kisses, and the only one who can lift this curse for her is a dog-fearing man.

Writer Baek In-ah, who wrote the script for “A Good Day To Be A Dog,” said, “I wanted to do a romantic comedy at least once, and the concept of the original was so interesting. I thought I could enjoy solving the situation of Han Hae-na (Park Kyu-young), who was cursed with turning into a dog, and I liked the setting of her romance with Jin Seo-won (Cha Eun-woo), who is afraid of dogs.”

Writer Baek added, “If we follow them together, sometimes with anxiety, sometimes with excitement, we will naturally fall in love with Hae-na and Seo-won and cheer for them.” The writer cited ‘curse’, ‘puppy’ and ‘love’ as keywords to explain this work.

Baek also praised the actors for their affection for the characters in the drama. “I think they are all great. With their own interpretation, they portrayed the character well. I’m just so grateful that they were more serious and passionate than anyone else.”

Finally, she said, “In the drama, a man and a woman whose life should not get tangled are intertwined, and things keep getting twisted. In the end, it is necessary to overcome the wall of “I” to embrace “us.”

“A Good Day To Be A Dog” will premiere at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11th (KST), and the first two episodes will air continuously.
