This entertainment show beat all popular dramas to become Koreans’ Most Favorite TV Program in May
An entertainment show drew attention by winning 1st place in the list of Koreans’ favorite TV programs for two consecutive months. It’s tvN’s You Quiz on the Block.
Gallup Korea announced the result of a survey titled “Korean’s Favorite TV Programs in May” on May 24th. Accordingly, “You Quiz on the Block” (hereinafter referred to as “You Quiz”) beat tvN’s “Our Blues” in 2nd place and JTBC’s “My Liberation Notes” in 3rd place to dominate the 1st place.
The survey was conducted on 1000 people aged 18 or older nationwide from May 17th to May 19th. The result came out with a 95% confidence level with ±3.1% error. The response rate was 11.3%.
The No.1 program “You Quiz” was voted by 5.5% of the survey’s participants, followed by No.2 “Our Blues” (4.8%) and No.3 “My Liberation Notes (4.1%) with a narrow difference. The program also attracted attention by ranking 1st place in this list for the second consecutive month following April.
In the early days of “You Quiz”, MCs Yoo Jae-seok and Jo Se-ho went out to the streets to cast and film citizens right at the place they visited. However, after the Covid-19 pandemic, the program’s format was changed to inviting and interviewing people with specific jobs. President Yoon Seok-yeol, trot singer Lim Young-woong and animal trainer Kang Hyung-wook recently made headlines with their appearance as guests on the show.
It was reported on May 24th that PDs Kim Min-seok and Park Geun-hyung of “You Quiz” had decided to move to JTBC, raising the viewers’ curiosity about what more changes will be done to the program’s format.
