4 pairs of K-drama co-stars you didn’t realize were around the same age

Song Hye Kyo and the actress who played her younger self are surprisingly almost the same age.

In real life, these pairs of actors are around the same age, but they don’t look that way in the dramas they co-starred in.

1. Song Hye Kyo – Han Ji Min

Han Ji Min landed her drama debut role as the younger version of Song Hye Kyo in “All In”. However, Han Ji Min is actually only a year younger than Song Hye Kyo, but thanks to her youthful and refreshing beauty, she looked much younger than Song Hye Kyo. Moreover, Song Hye Kyo’s makeup in the drama also made her look more mature than her real age.

2. Choi Daniel – Yoon Shi Yoon

Choi Daniel and Yoo Shi Yoon played a duo of uncle and nephew in “High Kick!” season 2. Because of their looks, many viewers mistakenly thought that the two were at least 10 years old apart, but Choi Daniel and Yoo Shi Yoon were actually both born in 1986. They were both 23 during the filming of “High Kick!”.

3. Song Joong Ki – Lee Kwang Soo

Song Joong Ki and Lee Kwang Soo were both in the cast of “The Innocent Man”. Even though they are same-aged best friends in real life and also played friends in the drama, Lee Kwang Soo looked like he was older than Song Joong Ki. This is understandable because Song Joong Ki is well-known for having a baby face that always makes the actor look like he is in his 20s.

Kim Sung Kyun and Ryu Jun Yeol transformed into father and son in “Reply 1988”, but in real life, the age difference between them is only 6 years old. The two managed to look convincing as father and son because Kim Sung Kyun looked quite mature for his age while Ryu Jun Yeol looked like a student. In addition, Kim Sung Kyun’s styling in the drama also made him look noticeably older.
