“Worldwide Top Korean Idol” BTS RM responded to malicious comments from Chinese netizens by showing them this

BTS leader RM drew attention for the way he responded to hateful comments from Chinese netizens.

On the evening of February 7th, RM posted on Instagram Story the scene of Hwang Dae-heon, who competed in the men’s 1000m short track speed skating semifinals at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, surpassing his opponents.

The scene showed the moment when Hwang Dae-heon took the lead in the pursuit of the in-course. Even though there was no collision during the process of him overtaking his opponents, the referee decided that changing the lane was a foul.

Along with the photo, RM added emoticons, such as “clapping” and “thumbs up”. He did that to support and encourage Hwang Dae-heon, who was eliminated due to a dubious reason even after winning first place.

Then, some Chinese netizens went on RM’s personal Instagram and BTS’s official Instagram account and did a “cyber terror” that they altogether posted the “vomiting” emoticon on the comment section. As a result, RM had to block the comment box on his Instagram.

The cultural assets that RM visited were Treasure No.634 “Inlaid Glass Beads in Hwangnam-dong, Gyeongju”, Treasure No.2010 “Face-Patterned Sculpture”, etc.

RM didn’t give any explanation for these pictures. Nevertheless, netizens can understand that RM was indirectly criticizing Chinese netizens’ behaviors.
