The first teaser video of tvN’s “Marry My Husband” recorded a high number of views, representing the interest in actress Park Min-young’s return
“Marry My Husband” tells the story of a woman who was murdered after witnessing her husband’s affair with her best friend. She returns to ten years ago and begins her second life.
The first teaser video, which was uploaded on tvN’s official channel and SNS on November 25th, surpassed 10 million views within 6 days (combining YouTube and Instagram, as of November 30th, 2023).
The video features an interview with Kang Ji-won (played by Park Min-young), who transforms into a participant of TVING’s dating reality program “EXchange”. She reveals the wrongdoings of her husband Park Min-hwan (played by Lee Yi-kyung) and Jung Soo-min (played by Song Ha-yoon), heralding a revenge full of venom.
The production team stated “For the character, Park Min-young devotedly focused on losing weight, dropping to 37kg“, highlighting the significance of this project for the actress.
Park Min-young returns to the small screen through “Marry My Husband” after parting ways with Kang Jong-hyun, who is under suspicion as the “actual owner” of the cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb’s affiliate. Her ex-boyfriend is currently under investigation by authorities for criminal charges. Furthermore, Park Min-young herself was questioned as a witness.
The timing of their breakup also raised suspicions and led to misunderstandings. Despite clear connections in various aspects, including family ties, they suddenly announced their separation. Park Min-young is still under Hook Entertainment, which is facing serious legal disputes, including one with actor Lee Seung-gi.
