The Chunsa International Film Art Awards has been held since the 1990s in honor of Korean film pioneer Chunsa Na Un-gyu, and is based on creativity, artistry and fairness by overcoming commercialistic trends at other film festivals. It also aims at enhancing the position of film directors and works to create a festival that can be enjoyed by all film staff. The award ceremony is dedicated to the production field as it’s the nation’s only film festival that has the Best Director as the biggest award.

The 27th Chunsa International Film Art Awards will be held on September 30th.
