B.I – The talented rapper who used to be YG’s “treasure”
B.I’s real name is Kim Han Bin, born in 1996, he is the leader of the popular group iKON. B.I’s career is a difficult path. B.I entered the Korean entertainment industry at the age of 13 and became a phenomenon after his rap performance in the song Indian Boy with MC Mong. After his activities with MC Mong ended, B.I continued to practice dancing with Indian Boy’s dancers.
Later, B.I became a trainee of YG Entertainment and led “Team B” (iKON today) to attend the survival show Who is Next? (WIN), to select a YG boy group lineup to debut. Although B.I’s talent is highly appreciated, everything to succeed seems never to be easy for him.
On the last episode of WIN, “Team B” that B.I was in charge of lost to Team A because of fewer votes. This caused the male singer to always self-torment and fall into depression. Fortunately in 2014, YG gave them another chance to debut as iKON through the show Mix & Match (M&M).

The company also announced that iKON members had all been tested negative for drug use every month, including B.I.
The male idol even posted on his Instagram to speak out about this controversy. He said that he had the intention to but never used the drug.
