Kim Eun Sook shared everything she wanted to say to all the Moon Dong Eun in the world through “The Glory”
Writer Kim Eun Sook, who wrote Netflix’s “The Glory,” is drawing admiration by revealing her message that ran through 16 episodes.
On Jan 6th, a video titled “Writer Kim Eun Sook, director Ahn Gil Ho, and the actors’ behind-the-scenes commentary | The Glory | Netflix” was posted on Netflix Korea’s official YouTube channel.
The video showed director Ahn Gil Ho, writer Kim Eun Sook, Song Hye Kyo, Lim Ji Yeon, Lee Do Hyun and Yeom Hye Ran gathering to share their behind-the-scenes story of the drama “The Glory.”
In the video, writer Kim Eun Sook revealed the message she wanted to convey to viewers through Moon Dong Eun (Song Hye Kyo) throughout 16 episodes of “The Glory.” It is reportedly what Kim wanted to say to all the Moon Dong Eun in the world.
Writer Kim Eun Sook talked about the scene when Park Yeon Jin (Lim Ji Yeon) came to the school where Moon Dong Eun works and threatened her at the beginning of the drama, saying, “The words that the victims hear a lot are ‘So you didn’t do anything wrong? There should be some kind of excuses anyways’,” he said, “I heard that the wound from hearing those words was the biggest.”
She added, “I wrote all 16 episodes while keeping in mind that I should strengthen the story that they (the victims) were not at fault through Dong Eun.”
In response, Song Hye Kyo said, “In the drama, I kept getting angry and sad because of the line ‘How hard did I make her suffer, what did I do to her thou? Was I that serious?'”
