Weki Meki’s Doyeon and Gong Myung Rumored to Be Dating, Agency Responds
On February 26, a media outlet suddenly reported that Doyeon and Gong Myung recently became a couple.
According to the report, Weki Meki’s Doyeon and Gong Myung became close when Doyeon made a special appearance in JTBC’s drama ‘Be Melodramatic,’ in which Gong Myung played a major role in 2019. Subsequently, they went from senior and junior to lovers as Doyeon recently left Weki Meki’s dorm.
While Doyeon’s agency, Fantagio, responded, “We’re currently confirming the facts,” Gong Myung’s side has denied the dating rumor.
A representative from Gong Myung’s agency, Saram Entertainment, said, “The dating rumor of Gong Myung with Doyeon is not true.”
Saram Entertainment added, “The two have had a friendly relationship as colleagues in the same agency in the past. They are only senior and junior.”
Born in 1994, Gong Myung debuted in 2013 and gained popularity for his role in the 2016 drama ‘Drinking Solo.’ He has since built up his filmography with appearances in hit movies like ‘Extreme Job,’ ‘Hansan: Rising Dragon,’ ‘Citizen of a Kind,’ as well as dramas like ‘The Bride of Habaek’ and ‘Red Sky.’
Born in 1999, Doyeon debuted through I.O.I formed by Mnet’s ‘Produce 101’ in 2016. After redebuting in Weki Meki in 2017, she garnered love for her chic visuals. She has also been active in acting, appearing in several dramas.
