BTS RM expressed discomfort when it was revealed that his ticket information was accessed without permission.
RM captured and posted an article on his Instagram story on March 1st.
The article reported that an employee of Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) accessed RM’s ticket information without permission.
Earlier, according to KORAIL, employee A was working on information technology (IT) development. A accessed RM’s personal information such as ticket information, address and mobile phone number for 3 years from 2019.
It is known that A had access because A was an IT employee developing a pre-release system.
KORAIL held an audit after receiving a report from another employee saying that A said, “I checked RM’s reservation history. I gave my friend his ticket information so that my friend could buy a nearby seat.”
An official from KORAIL shared, “We confirmed that A inquired personal information without permission, but we could not confirm that it was leaked to the outside.”
SBS reported that A said, “I inquired out of simple curiosity and am reflecting on my action.”
Upon hearing this, RM seems to have expressed his uncomfortable feelings by adding the emoticon “^^;;”.
Meanwhile, KORAIL removed A from their position and is taking disciplinary steps.
