Daesung expressed gratitude toward G-Dragon and Taeyang for supporting him in taking on various challenges

Daesung, known as a singer with natural talents who did idol activities and sang ballads and trot songs at the same time, appeared on the February 16th broadcast of TV Chosun’s “Heo Young Man’s Food Travel” and had a food tour to Hwasun, Jeollanam-do with Heo Young-man.

When Heo Young-man asked, “What do you call the songs sung by idols?”, Daesung said, “It’s K-pop”, adding “I even released a trot song called ‘Look At Me, Gwisun’.” Regarding the reason he moved back and forth between K-pop and trot, the male singer said, “My parents loved trot music so I grew up listening to it a lot.”

I’ve become such a cool person on the stage thanks to the ideas of the older members during BIG BANG promotions”, adding “That’s why I feel no shame about starting off as a BIGBANG member, doing music and entertaining many people with our music.”

Regarding the time when he was doing military service, Daesung said, “There are members who are one year older than me (G-Dragon and Taeyang), and I enlisted at the same time as them”. In particular, Daesung served in the military together with Taeyang as a military assistant.
