On the afternoon of October 24th, hip hop label AOMG announced through their official SNS that female rapper Jvcki Wai will be joining the company.
At 6PM (KST) on the same day, Jvcki Wai released her new single “Go Back” as if to commemorate her joining AOMG, and kick-started her comeback with double great news.
Jvcki Wai is a hip hop artist with a fresh music style and excellent rapping skills. After releasing her mixtape “Life Sucks” in 2015 and the 2016 EP “EXPOSURE”, the female rapper attracted high interest and favorable reviews from hip hop fans.
“Go Back”, which was released as a comeback work after a long hiatus, is a hip hop track which utilized the texture of Jvcki Wai’s rapping on top of an intense Moombahton rhythm. At the same time, the ambivalent expressions placed throughout the lyrics are impressive.
In the music video, audiences can get a glimpse of Jvcki Wai’s more advanced style, such as using kitsch details in a post-apocalyptic background.
