This franchise company even changed its name because of BTS Jungkook

A famous U.S. franchise company changed its name to how BTS Jungkook pronounces it.

On Jan 23rd, a video titled “Lunch Time with Chipotle” was uploaded on the official YouTube channel “BangtanTV” of BTS.

Jungkook seems unfamiliar with the food in the video. “How do you eat this? Chicotle? Chicotle?” he asked. J-Hope, who was next to him, replied, “I heard chocolate at first. Chocolate. You were saying chocolate?”

The pronunciation that Jungkook and J-Hope misheard is Chipotle.

Chipotle refers to the smoked and dried jalapeno, an ingredient mainly used in Mexican cuisine, but it is also the name of a fast-food franchise.

Upon hearing the news of Jungkook‘s cute mistake, Chipotle changed its account name to “Chicotle” and even retweeted a tweet on its official Twitter account, saying, “If Jungkook said it’s Chicotle then it’s Chicotle.”
