The words written on “The Glory” group poster foreshadow a merciless revenge in Part 2

Ahead of the release of Netflix’s “The Glory Part 2”, interesting foreshadows are hidden in the new poster.

First of all, on the group poster of “The Glory Part 2” released on February 23rd, the phrase “Lasciate ogni speranza, voich’intrate” is written. This is from the first part of Dante’s poem, “Inferno,” which means “You who enter here, abandon all hope.”

In “Inferno”, Dante expresses that the souls of his personal dislikes and political rivals are in hell, and depending on the sinners, he shows sympathy or mercilessly ridicules them.

In addition, at the place where Joo Yeo Jeong and Kang Hyun Nam, who are on Moon Dong Eun’s side, stand, from the Part 1 posters, there is a white morning glory blooming towards the sky, known as the “Devil’s Morning Glory”.

However, only Ha Do Young has the yellow morning glory blooming toward the ground, symbolizing the five perpetrators, with the “Angel’s Morning Glory” and the “Devil’s Morning Glory” together, while still holding Park Yeon Jin’s hand, hinting that there will be conflict between the two.

Also, in the place where Kang Hyeon Nam stands, there are tree trunks intertwined. In the Part 1 poster, the tree trunks are on the perpetrators’ necks, leading to speculation that they will be either killed or punished accordingly.

In this poster, Kang Hyun Nam, like the perpetrators, is also tied to the stem, leaving an ominous appearance. This is because Kang Hyun Nam is seen in a detention center after being caught by Park Yeon Jin in the latest trailer.

Lastly, this poster shows Moon Dong Eun wearing white clothes for the first time. In the synopsis of “The Glory”, writer Kim Eun Sook says that Moon Dong Eun is a person who endures the dark world with anger and hatred. Accordingly, viewers have recognized Moon Dong Eun’s symbolic color as black, an achromatic color.

In the first posters of Part 2 released earlier, the five perpetrators are all against a black background, with Moon Dong Eun looking down at them and directly strangling them or holding their hands, as if foreshadowing a full-scale revenge.

On the other hand, Kang Hyun Nam and Joo Yeo Jeong, who side with Moon Dong Eun, look at her, suggesting that they are really on the same side with the light gray background. However, in the first poster, Ha Do Young does not make eye contact with Moon Dong Eun, showing that he is a person who sees the perpetrators and the victim from a third person’s point of view, as writer Kim Eun Sook first introduced this character.
